My IB Dashboard
For the last 2 months since I've been heavily using IB for collecting icons, I've culled together a lot of the tools that IB'ers have created, to give myself an Excel Dashboard. It started with dyar's IB Points and Stamp Calculator, and quickly grew from there.
I've added icon tracking for the sets I'd like to acquire, as well as the sets that I currently own. I've added new badges that have come out, and even new icon families that I expect to break the "over 10" mark. I also track with whom I've promised to receive sets. In short, while I'm cruising through IB, you can be sure that I have my file open to see my enhanced statistics.
Thought you guys might like to see a screenshot of what I've done, and feel free to share some of your own creations.
To obtain your own copy, download this Excel file.
NOTE: There is a hidden column on the second & third tabs of the file that help me determine my icon allocation for the coming months, and also whether I've downloaded the icon set to my computer. Enjoy!

SO, you gonna share the spreadsheet??
bjendrick on Jul 24, 2007
LOL I suppose I could. :D Hang on.
bjendrick on Jul 24, 2007
Okay, the file is posted. Consider this the "legal disclaimer" that if it breaks, blows up, kills a loved family member, blah, blah, blah...
--> he did it over there. Enjoy!

*bump* For those that may have missed it.

next step is adding something like that into an online version - if you don't mind.
bjendrick on Jul 25, 2007
Yeah, I've thought of that. Just don't have the time to create it as yet. But yes, I totally agree. :D
Now if I could just find a way to integrate OpenID into Classic ASP.

Thank you for sharing!! : )

That's pretty awesome.
bjendrick on Jul 25, 2007
Thank you. I'm just a numbers kind of guy, so it's fun.

nice detail, well done. As a fellow numbers geek I appreciate this!

I have a question: What is the rank column about?
zelda013 on Jul 25, 2007
holy cow. i'm impressed. and i also would like to know what rank means.
bjendrick on Jul 25, 2007
The rank column was a fast way for me to determine what icon sets ranked higher than others. So where I didn't have a preference as to which set to obtain next, it was a helping hand to tell me which set was most valuable.
It's totally arbitrary, and haven't paid a ton of attention to it, but if I marked the set as "Y" for wanting it, the value defaulted to 100. If it wasn't a wanted set, it multiplied the # of icons in the set by the # of tokens to obtain the set. So I had a quick hierarchical ranking. And only in certain circumstances did sets achieve a value higher than 100 on their own, like with IconBuffet or Manhattan Me.
Hope that helps, and I'm glad that all liked it.

I input the information from my stats page and the point total is 200 less than it should be. I put in how many of each I have, I have sent two diamond deliveries and have two badges that give my a total of 400 points. My total on your sheet gives me 2590 and it should be 2790. Any ideas?
bjendrick on Jul 25, 2007
Is it possible that you missed marking one of the badges? If not, then it's most likely a calculation issue with the sent sets. You can see a bit more detail within the hidden D column. If that doesn't give more insight, feel free to whisper send me your file to the e-mail address I've whispered in your box.

Refill Date: 8/11
Sic ’em boys! ;P
ehooton on Jul 25, 2007
Hehe. I thought about that too! :)
bjendrick on Jul 25, 2007
I figured it wasn't a big deal for people to know my refill date, especially since you can see on the the Icons Needed page that I already have most of the sets accounted for in my next allotment. ; )
@ehooton: I'm looking at your file now, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was something that I missed. I'll let you know.

i know what the issue is. i had teh same problem when i filled it in (AWESOME spreadsheet by the way :). the problem is the formula for cell B9.
the formula reads:
=(B19*10)+(B20*30)+(B21*50)+(B22*150)+(B5*50)+B11
the only problem is the multiplier for the diamond sets (B22*150). It should be *250. If you change that, all should be good!
thanks again for the spreadsheet!

Great catch, Mrs. Poomp! Thank you, and since I haven't had the joy of sending a Diamond Set as yet, would indicate why I have the issue in my formula. Thank you!
