It Is A Party

Thank you for coming. The reason for today's celebration is that my kid will be graduating from high school at the end of this month.

Here in the US of A, graduation more or less ends what is expected/required for the individual, and starts the phase of personal choice.

I somehow managed to get a good kid. Let's help him celebrate this milestone.

I graduate in, what, 3 years?

iqon on May 16, 2008

Here be a little iqonic advice for the graduate:
"PLASTIC"
oops, not sure where that be comin' from, must've been distracted by Mrs. Robinson...

Listen up!
⊕ Dance like no one be listenin'
⊕ Sing like no one be watchin'
⊕ if ye go out drinkin' at night wear sunscreen
(in case you pass out on deck 'nd don't wake up till afternoon)

◊ AND WHAT EVER YOU DO NEVER GET A PET MONKEY! ◊

Is proud mama going to be sayin' "I got a Doctor in the family"?

I seem to vaguely remember high school graduation. I think there was a mouse, or a bear....oh wait...that was grad night at Disney World. Graduation was the caps and gowns and pomp and circumstance with speeches and hand shaking and stuff.

B3llit0 on May 16, 2008

Plastic! XD That's better advice than anyone else could give, to be honest.

Congrats, best wishes and such!

Well, thank you guys a lot! I still want to do some job shadowing to see if being a PA is really what I want to do, but the medical field has too many promising sides for me to choose anything else, and I love the feeling I get when I help people.

O.o

*flings confetti at the kid*

sorry I'm late, anti... but CONGRATULAAAATIONS! on graduating the kid! :) I know your experience w/this is different than mine, but when my eldest graduated two years ago, it was the most awesome event and feeling ever!!! We homeschool, so this grad ceremony was totally non-traditional and very personal... it was just AWESOME!!!
Hope the kid & parents had a super-fabulous day!
*squonk!* <<blowing my party horn :)
