The Pirates getting a bad image?
While I am a very big pirate girl and part of the The Pirates clan here on the buffet, I've started to realize that maybe The Pirates as a clan here are starting to get a bad image. I wonder if this is all in my head or if there are some who don't join due to this fact. I know I might get some people angry by posting this blog, but I just thought that if this is true some of the PIrates might want to know. Of course, as always, this could is all in my head and I'm just going crazy.

I do think The Pirates have a bad image. Like, you can't be a pirate and a ninja at the same time. Also, there's a lot of cult-i-ness to the whole thing. (Lots of blogs being like "you have to be a pirate in order to send me stuff", or similar). Just my thoughts.

I think that is a normal thing to do, in order to help people of the same group, or just to give more points to the group.
And ... how can anyone be a Pirate and a Ninja at the same time???? Either your a pirate or a ninja. Never saw a "Ninja Pirate" or a "Pirate Ninja".

hmm... this sounds like a job for Ask A Ninja!! Of course, I don't support the notion of ninja as pirates, as this is not covered in my Flying Spaghetti Monster handbook (ref. wikipedia). However, I certainly invite anyone brave enough to confront him with the inquiry of how to reconcile ninjas against pirates. =o)

Actually, I would abandon the ninjas and go pirate, but I just don't like the guild. All guilds that also do the the "only memebers of said clan can send me stuff" that I've seen were made by hardcore pirates, like the Geek Girls, and include Pirate in teh list of clans you must belong to. I also found entildo's recruitment drive from a few months back to be a little much.

I think that the clans being supportive of each other is fine, as long as I doesn't turn into discrimination of other clans. That kind of thing can end badly. Everybody just play nice and nobody gets their feelings hurt, alright? If you wish to only receive sets from certain people, then thats your decision. Clan spirit is a good thing. :D

Actually, when the clans/guilds thing first started up, I was Pirate, Ninja and Caveman. You would never see me as I jumped nimbly off the ship, snuck up behind you, conked you over the head with my club and stole your points. But then I too got frustrated with the infighting and backstabbing, so I left all of those behind and became a humble IB Monk. Of course I still relish my membership in the "Stuff that don't count" clan/guild/group. I have recently been persuaded by Iqon to return once again to the high seas, but who knows, I may soon miss my comfy cozy hermit's cave.

I have many good friends that arrr... Ninjas and some of them have received my personal help on reaching their goals...i didn't want to say that but I have to...this is a game and to play it, you need to have some fun...I do what I want with my tokens...and anybody else can do what they want with theirs...when somebody is in need, elnitido52 is always there...or my fellow Pirates arrr...

Title should read pirates getting a good image...now that would be bad...
