IB Mafia Game 5--Clam Mafia [GAME OVER]
Since Soprano's *stops glaring at Soprano* doesn't seem inclined to actually get started, and MaskedJedi's is in the middle of play, here's my first Mafia game. I will assign roles after signup is finished. For those who know not how to play, go to the original Mafia game; the rules outlined on that site will be followed here, with some exceptions. The first is that mafia need to kill all non-mafia in order to win, rather than just be 50 percent or more of the people. Same applies to Cult--they need to be all of the survivors. I am also adding the Cult of the Giant Clam, as follows:
Membership in the Cult of the Giant Clam is assigned alongside your role. Notwithstanding your membership or lack thereof in the Cult, you play your role as normal. Each Cult member knows the names, but not the allegiances or roles, of the other members. During the day, any Cult member may post to the main thread the word "Clam". (I will refer to the Cult of the Giant Clam as the "Clam Cult" from now on to distinguish it from the Cult.) If a Clam Cult member calls the Cult, by doing the above, then all Clam Cult members immediately die. WARNING: If a person who is not a Clam Cult member posts "Clam", that person will immediately die. I don't want anyone fooling around with this.
This is a test of the Clam Cult concept. Depending on how well it works here, I may or may not include it in future games.
UPDATE 11/6/07:
I am adding the Paranoid Gun Owner role (idea by granf, thanks). This person kills the first person to try to kill him at night. Thus, they can only be killed by either two people targeting him the same night, or by lynching.

New role: Mafia Insider
This person is not actually involved with the Mafia, and is town-aligned. Every night, I flip a coin. This person has a 50/50 chance of receiving information about one Mafia member. If they do, I whisper the name to them.
Clarification about Clam Cult: If the Cult Leader inducts a Clam Cult member, they do indeed have control over whether that member calls the Cult. Basically, if you are inducted, you can't do anything that affects the game state without the OK of the leader.

it does, sort of. Also, I forgot to put--the day after they are night-killed, a Clam Culter can post Clam. That could give some more motivation. Or maybe, if somehow a person finds out that there's a key person in the Cult on the other side?

He picked up his pizza, paid for it, and was just about to sit down and eat it when a chlorine gas grenade bounced in through his window and detonated. Redpoint stole away from his window quietly, pleased at his perfect hit. He remained pleased until a three-inch-long, sharp metal sliver appeared through the bridge of his nose. Meanwhile, Serenity was sitting in her living room, doing nothing in particular, when someone clamped a chloroform-soaked cloth over her nose and mouth. When she woke up, she was in a cell.

Night is now over (finally).
Annikalee left her house, determined to put an end to her target's life. Coming up on her goal, she stuck a sticky cloth to a basement window, then rapped it sharply with a hammer. Almost no noise was made as the broken glass stuck to the cloth. Pulling the cloth away, she entered the house, looking around for her target. The would-be victim was pointing a long sniper rifle at her down the hallway. She dropped her gun and held up her hands, but the "target" fired repeatedly. Outside, the person waiting to tempt Annikalee away heard the gunshot and walked off disappointed.
