Would you consider IB site to be educational?

I always access IB from school and (because from the spy ware they put on) was wondering if you think IB site an educational site?

technically, no, but there are a lot of people on this site who will help you learn something, if you ask nicely, so you could argue that it CAN be...

I think it could be argued very strongly that it's educational. Look at all the blog topics about the more technical aspects of web design. I use it as a resource when I'm looking for specific info. As louie says, there are a ton of highly talented people here & most are happy to help when asked!

I agree with the previous posts. As Louie said technically...no. I don't believe it was developed to be a strictly educational site, however, (like the other posts say) there are plenty of folks here who will gladly educate you.

The site itself does not educate.

However, it can be used as a research point in much the same way that Wikipedia could be used. That is if you had a site forum search feature, or were able to use the Google plan presented elsewhere in these many forum pages.

Not educational, but very useful in an education context I'd say. I sometimes use IB icons in posters and leaflets for work, and I have the same problem from the office, as the dimwit IT Dept. "websenses" it. I usually have to email myself any icon sets I want to use from work. Only time I can get away with it is if I'm working from home as I log into the servers through an SSL connection via the website - I just open up IB, and whatever else I want to amuse myself with when work gets too tedious, in another browser. <evil grin>

I used to be one of those horrible people in college, responsible for blocking all your favorite sites. Although I think this site is in no way educational I can see no reason to block it at all :)
