For me the computer can be just as bad. I can spend hours on it doing nothing worthwhile, just like watching tv! I do miss some channels tho like The History Channel, AMC, Food Network, etc.

I'm surprised my husband has agreed to my no tv policy. I keep figuring he'll breakdown and get one, he always looks longingly at them in Best Buy.......

Yeah, I was never a big tv watcher. When I moved out of my parents house cable tv was too expensive for this poor college student, so I just never got one. Now I can afford one, but I like all my free time and since I can get news & weather online and watch dvd's on the computer there's no need.

I'm big on doing stuff outside anyway (cycling, climbing, swimming, etc) so I never really missed it. I do feel left out when people talk about shows or commercials that I don't know, but now most network shows are online too. So every now & then I'll check them out to confirm I'm not missing much =)
