Point Leaders
I joined IconBuffet pretty recently, but I like the point system on the new site, even if we don't know what they're for exactly.
Anyway, I have seen several people with insanely high numbers of points (I only have 800), and I think it would be cool to have a points leaderboard somewhere, so we could see the highest point totals without searching through everyones account to see their point totals.
Just throwing the idea out there. What do you think?

I've suggested this before as well. I really hope the chefs implement something like this. I think it would be very cool to see the top point scorers.

At least you have more than 1k. I think adding a little bit of competition to IB could be a nice touch.

A bit of healthy competition is not a bad idea and a Leaderboard, of sorts, could spur that on. It appears the points will be used to unlock future features, such as the new 250-point delivery list.
I’ve noticed that point increases occur right around the release of a new delivery as everyone is scampering to fill orders and spread the ’Buffet love. A few trades happen here and there between releases, but freshness experiences the most activity.
@BlueMace: some tips on getting points is to scour the boards for a good chunk of time looking to fill set requests. You have to be quick though as some orders are filled almost before the requester releases the mouse button to post.
Another “tried-and-true” is to hang about when a new release is in the teaser stages. If you get it for free, try to send it to as many people as you have stamps. This is especially effective with Bronze sets.

I think that top 20 would be good.
@aaroncampbell: I know, I would have absolutely no chance of making it. I have 1500 points and some of you hotshots have over 10k.

Top 20 sounds good. I have no idea how much points other make until I saw the 5k, and then I saw the 10k ... insane! :) But good work ^^

Yeah, it's pretty scary. I think that they spend there whole day on IB. Unfortunately, I have to go to school and the teachers won't let me go on.
