Steven on Aug 15, 2007

thx alot :)

KatieK on Aug 15, 2007

Yoink! That's going to come in handy. I don't suppose there are any other palettes hanging around...?

soprano on Aug 15, 2007

Yeah, could you make color palette files for all of the sets? (Or make ColorBurn palettes?)

soprano on Aug 15, 2007

Wow, that's a lot of colors! Thanks.

iconmaster on Aug 15, 2007

Now go design some great web pages to match the icons! :)

zelda013 on Aug 15, 2007

wow, that's a really great thing to have ! thank you iconmaster !

tweakedeye on Aug 15, 2007

IMHO that should be the most fundamental foundation of the initial site design. Setting up the CSS with the appropriate swatches....:)

Grusella on Aug 15, 2007

There is a color palette for the Oslo sets?

tamashii on Aug 15, 2007

OMG! That is really quite generous and kewl, iconmaster.

minienvelope on Aug 15, 2007

This is really cool. Thanks for sharing!

etherbrian on Aug 16, 2007

Did somebody mention Oslo?

marcelofigueroa on Aug 16, 2007

...wow...

KatieK on Aug 22, 2007

Ohho! That's going to come in very handy, etherbrian. Thank you! I've got a site where Oslo will be perfect.

How about... Modena? Shanghai?

davethegr8 on Aug 22, 2007

Thanks. I'm thinking of doing a redesign, so this may come in handy.

grantneufeld Vip-micro on Aug 22, 2007

Now that’s added value! Thank-you for sharing.

cskimming on Aug 22, 2007

That's useful...thanks man.

bjendrick on Aug 22, 2007

And THAT is why I love this site. Just friendly & helpful. Thank you!

Awesome, thanks for the colors!

katylava Vip-micro on Aug 24, 2007

bookmarked!

louiemctool on Aug 25, 2007

um, i don't supposed anyone could help out a poor webpage noobie, and post the hexadecimal equivalents of these palettes?

i'd be REALLY grateful...

:)

memodude on Aug 25, 2007

AWSUM THX

VINZ on Aug 25, 2007

hmmm... i can't see 'em. Got an error.

Dave on Aug 25, 2007

louie: if you're on windows, this might help:
Hexdecimal 3.0
Since it lets you pick any screen colour and get it's hexadecimal value (along with lots of other stuff)

(yes that's a plug of my own program but it's related to the topic and useful :P)

I'm liking these palettes - just wish I'd had them earlier

[updated to make link clickable]

zelda013 on Aug 25, 2007

@ dave : thanks for the link, i downloaded your app and will try it out... can never have too many color pickers right ?

@ louie : i also use the ColorZilla extension for firefox, it's pretty nice too if you want to check colors of something in a web page.

Dave on Aug 25, 2007

or if you prefer;
All the palettes, with hexadecimal values added
Not as nice-looking as the chefs' versions, but it has the numbers.

louiemctool on Aug 25, 2007

thanks Dave, zelda013! and you too, iconmaster and etherbrian. now, where did i put my darn stylesheet....

its around here somewhere...

/wanders off in search of CSS file....

:)

anti on Aug 25, 2007

Dave, thanks for the link, I will give it a try!

grantneufeld Vip-micro on Sep 02, 2007

More palette requests for the chefs, please: Anaheim, New York, Poughkeepsie. Thanks!

rajr19 on Sep 02, 2007

thanks soo much. sooo useful.

Steven on Sep 30, 2007

I almost forgot this post and when I found my way back this made me 'WOW' :D Thank you Iconmaster and Etherbrian for your generosity. Also thank others who helped me mention other icon sets. Rly nice thing to have, especially for making websites

ZsaZsa on Sep 30, 2007

Really shows what mastery is all about - the palettes alone are art. Thanks Steven and Chefs, this is awesome!

grantneufeld Vip-micro on Oct 01, 2007

I’ve used the Marseilles palette and some of the IB icons on a new site I launched on Friday:
http://calgary2007.grantneufeld.ca/
(It’s for tracking information about the upcoming municipal election in Calgary.)

Icons taken from Marseilles, Amsterdam, Oslo and one tiny one from Taipei.

Metahari on Oct 01, 2007

these are really great!

bkendall on Oct 01, 2007

This is not exactly the same but

http://www.colourlovers.com/palettes/add

has a great tool for getting palettes from images.

etherbrian has provided the Kyoto color palette

B3llit0 on May 14, 2008

Dresden and Kyoto are my two favourites; that's why I requested Kyoto. I also put a request for Dresden on the iconmaster's box, let's hope he posts it.

B3llit0 on May 14, 2008

It's spelled ‘palette’.

Sorry, I'm obsessed with grammar, and it's my job to correct people's spelling since I'm going to the national spelling bee.

iqon on May 14, 2008

ARRRRRR...me was thinkin' 'bout fathers day 'nd gettin' a latte for me pa...

B3llit0 on May 15, 2008

But that's “lattepa” which should then be pronounced /lɑ.ˈte.pa/. Now it's too much like an Italian word, so we should write it as “latteppa”. Then it sounds like it's a definite article followed by a noun, and should be written as “la teppa”, but “teppa” isn't defined.

bjendrick on Jun 17, 2008

Is there any chance that the chefs would kindly offer the Shanghai color palette for our combined amusement?

B3llit0 on Jun 17, 2008

In the meantime, I suppose I could post my self-made Dresden palette if anyone wants it…

TheOffKid on Jun 17, 2008

Oh very nice!

Bri on Jun 17, 2008

Sweet Patooties! That's Fantastic!

B3llit0 on Jun 17, 2008

Alright then, here:

The outlines are #404040, and normal fills are #bcbcbc. I've found three extra colours which are used for smaller details, like the buttons on the controllers of Dresden Gamer. These three extra colours are: #5f5f5f, #b4b4b4, and #8e8e8e.

Reiji Vip-micro on Jul 31, 2008

Something I'd love to see is the tokyo color palette...

Thanks for everything.
