The Roswell Incident

Most likely, most of you, possibly all of you, have heard about the Roswell incident. As most of you already know, this is about extra-terrestrials, so if you think there's no way/possibility that other forms of sentient life could have ever landed on our planet, you may as well stop reading here. If not, by all means, read more! It's very informal. Sometime in 1947 in Roswell,New Mexico, Hundreds of pieces were found scattered in a one-mile radius on the side of a road. There were strange inscriptions on a few of the pieces which looked something like hyroglyphics, and intricate little pieces of debris that looked incredibly unusual. The area was closley examined by army officials, governmental leaders, and airplane pilots alike. The majourity of those who found it mentioned that the metal-like material found was light-weight yet seemingly unbreakable. Like tough tin-foil. One soldier even tried burning and shooting it, but the metal-like substance stayed excactly the same. The area was quickly closed off, and the government clamied that a flying saucer had crash-landed in Roswell. In the next few days, very unusual cargo that was kept hidden from the eyes of most was carried through Airplanes, and the soldiers were told not to look inside. These 11' by 5' cases were bolted shut and locked tightly. Eventually, after most of the equipment had been removed from the area, most of the soldiers/officials were sent back home. The next day, Boom! Instead of it being a flying saucer, the government now suddenly claims it was just a bunch of weather balloons. Weather balloons that somehow crash-landed hard enough to spread debris in a one-mile radius. In the meantime that all of this was happening, the government had been *illegally according to the constitution* keeping top secret files of photos/paragraphs about the Roswell incedent. Then, a number of photos were taken showing 2 army officers standing by a number of weather balloons, as "proof" that it was not, infact, a flying saucer. Well it just so happens that in these photos, one of the officers is holding a note, and in the last one, the contents of the note face the camera. The government realized this, and immediatley claimed that nothing could be read/made out about the note. Shortly afterwards, a man whose name illudes me at the moment, uses a specialized type of technology to zoom in very closley at the note. He almost instantly reads every word. The note was written to the officer who was holding it, and it explained that the victims of the crash were carried away, and that the pieces of the disk were removed from the scene. After another paragraph or two of info. written on the note, it seemed fairly obvious that the balloon idea was a whole bunch of bogus. Because of this, a number of scientists went back to the scen to examine it more closley and see what they could find. At excactly the point where debris should've been was a weather balloon. After a quick examination, they found that the weather balloon was only 20 years old. tops. Coincidence?

After digging down in that same spot, about 100 feet down they found a piece of metal-like debris. and it's being examined as we speak.

I write this blog for a # of reasons. First and foremost, for information! It ends up that the government is still keeping those Roswell files secret. Eventually, they admited that they should show us what's inside. They gave the public a three page document...75% was totally blacked out. Even if you don't think it was aliens, there has to be some explanation. Please share if you have any ideas!
Secondly, if you have any more info. on the Roswell incedent, you're more then welcome to post it. I find it a very interesting topic, and I've now been discussing it with lots of other people/freinds, I just wanted to know what you thought about it all. Please share!

I think something happened for sure. How long ago was this?

To anti: This happened in 1947 at Roswell, New Mexico.

O.K., boss, this LTX-27 concealable mike is part of the same system that NASA used when they faked the Apollo moon landings. Yeah, the astronauts broadcast around the world from a soundstage at Norton Airforce Base in San Bernadino, California. So it worked for them, shouldn't give us too many problems.

SpacesEnd on Jul 20, 2007

boss? What an LTX-27 concealable mike?

But yes, I believe the astronauts faked the moon landing as well.

ZsaZsa on Jul 20, 2007

I can't believe they faked the Apollo moon landings - the US government couldn't organize a Tupperware party. Same reason for not going to the moon! Hmmm.

travisseitler on Jul 20, 2007

@ZsaZsa: Maybe they just want us to think they're inept... ;)

ZsaZsa on Jul 20, 2007

@travis That did occur to me, but it would be at such a massive level in all agencies and field offices, as well as executive and legistlative branches, that it boggles the mind!

travisseitler on Jul 20, 2007

I just read this the other day. I honestly don't know what to think about the whole Roswell thing, but I tend to believe the U.S. Government was trying to hide something less cosmic but more sinister...

ZsaZsa on Jul 20, 2007

Wow. Well I think it is more logical to believe that we are not the only intelligent (I know) life than that we are not. Further, there is enough evidence from reliable sources to increase the likelihood. And since we are already being "handled" by our government, this would be no big stretch.

SpacesEnd on Jul 21, 2007

I di just figure some thing out though. Unfortuanetley, the government is doing nothing illegal by sheilding our eyes from the Roswell incedent. Well, techinacly speaking they're not. They can just claim that it's a national security issue and they can hide whatever they want, even though it's obviously not a national security issue.

SpacesEnd on Jul 21, 2007

Oh, and if you want proof that the moon landing was faked, simply look it up on google. Theres about a-hundred sources, and it all makes perfect sense. For example, the "rover" that the astronauts used on the moon was waaaay to thin. It would've needed to be at least 5 times that wide to not flip over in moon's gravity while making the turns it did on the film.

MaskedJedi on Jul 21, 2007

Okay. I'm a theorist myself. I'm perfectly able to accept/understand Roswell, JFK/RFK, and 9/11 conspiracies. But the moon landing? No.

Just take a look at the SR-71. It was developed in the early '60s. The F117 was designed in the early '70s. If I saw those flying around on a test flight then I'd swear they were UFOs. Those didn't become public for about a decade after development. Heck, it makes you wonder what the engineers are cooking up now that we don't know about?

Have you ever checked out the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum? They use to open their Maryland hangers to visitors, but don't now that the new facility is open at Dulles, VA. I did several tours at the old facility. They've got tons of crazy aircraft prototypes that were explored, but never produced by the military. Wacky stuff.

And remember, they were using titanium and other exotic materials on miltary aircraft long before they became household names and common to you and me. So what are they developing now that we're not familiar with? Sure, if I found traces of a strange metals it'd be easy to make the leap to aliens, but I believe our first contact won't be in person, more like an exchange of waves (radio, gamma, anything like that).

iqon on Jul 21, 2007

What if you were entering a cold war and wanted to psych the opposition. You fake an alien crash, then launch a cover-up to make people think there really was something. Now build an almost secret facility and let spies intercept fragments of communication from it. The opposition is left pondering if you really do have alien tech at your disposable. Oglethorpe's bluff of the Spanish was better, but pulling off an "alien technology" bluff is impressive none the less.

I'm not saying thats what happened but me monkey likes this theory as much as the others.

a2 on Jul 21, 2007

@iqon: A classic disinformation campaign! Great thinking!

SpacesEnd on Jul 21, 2007

@iqon: yes it's possible, but it doesn't explain anything really.

Steax on Jul 21, 2007

I think the entire Alien thing is as much a cover-up as the Balloon theory. People would obviously take the alien theory over the balloon theory, and most other theories (and realities) would probably be swept away.

I agree its probably something very sinister, that's being covered up with an imaginative story. I'm sure that note must have been there on purpose, it's too obvious. We don't know whats being covered up, but seriously, some experimental metal being hidden around the site, rumors, a video or two, and cool stories have been enough to keep the UFO theory alive.

The museum in Roswell proved interesting enough to me, being a Space geek and barely 8 years old at the time. That was like 8 years ago...

Granf on Jul 22, 2007

@iqon: the military did a very good job of a similar theng very recently on the guatamalans, trying to surpress guirella-ism. the invented what is now Known as el chupacabra.

SpacesEnd on Aug 11, 2007

Question: Is it possible that the government tried to make it look obvious so that you'ld think that the note was simply put there on purpose as a cover up? Kinda like a reverse-psychology thing.

iqon on Aug 11, 2007

Anyone notice a correlation between the rise in digital cameras, camcorders, and phone cams versus the decline in UFO sightings?

Luckily the aliens developed cloaking technology just as humans ability to detect and record grew by leaps and bounds.

Steax on Aug 12, 2007

iqon: The standard mystical-population rule: The more people control an area, the less weird stuff happens there. Heck, it's a wonder when most of the world's population has easy access to some recording device within 20 meters, ghosts still exist. =P

And you'd think NASA, Google, or one of the many mapping companies haven't spotted one - unless, of course, the government is suppressing them. ^^
