Surfing over the internet I read about iconfinder, a search engine for finding icons. All the icons in the results are coming with a preview and are downloadable! Worths a check I think :-)

I'm just wondering where it searches. I tried a few things and it couldn't find them.

It is more developer-oriented and not fun oriented! For example if you search for terms like "folder", "database", "login", you will get tons of results! There is a searchcloud where you can find what's popular!
