Yes, yes, Austin is still beautiful and HOT! we are up to 40something straight days of 90 or above weather. Lake Travis is wonderful, a little low, but still wonderful. I haven't been to Barton Springs, but the firework show over Town Lake (well, Ladybird Lake) was awesome! I think the paper said the city of Austin spent something like $100,000 on fireworks alone! The Austin Symphony Orchestra was in perfect form as well. My hubby, my brother, my son, his girlfriend and I were so close to Town Lake that I could stick my toes in it. There was a huge turnout of folks. I think it was one of, if not the best 4th of July's I've ever had. We took a carriage ride the night before, which was awesome. We have a new tower which is taller than the Frost tower and they are working on another one which is said to dwarf the Frost tower when it is completed. Hubby and I are considering a move next year maybe to a loft downtown. (If all the finances go right, that is.) NE-way, I hope that has caught you up a bit on the Austin news. Hey there Mav! Glad to see the avvy. Great one, btw. Austin is as wonderful as ever. Growing by leaps and bounds. The traffic sux, but everyone is so laid back that it's not like driving in say, Dallas or Houston. It's not a getting dog-eyed or go or get hit world.
On the delivery thang...I am currently out of stamps. However, davethegr8 and dustbunny are both working on getting their halos, so I am sure either one of them would love to send you any gold set(s) and for any of the bronze or silver deliveries I am sure most any of the IB Shinobi Clan or the IB Geek Girls would be honored to fill your request. ;)
