Should I become a mountain hermit or not

I have been considering the possibilities of being a mountain hermit and would appreciate mountain suggestions and verdicts on whether or not I should become one. also, I would appreciate advice on edible mountain top plants and fungi, because I already know I will have to hunt for meat.

Unless it's a very low mountain there won't be any plants or fungi, just snow.

if you're like me, the hermit part is a lifestyle, the mountain is spiritual!

Is that a hint that the offspring doesn't visit often enough? ;)

You had better pick a place where you can get a satellite internet connection.

And don't forget a good set of solar panels; if you can't power your computer, you can't enjoy the icons...

M&M's too, they taste better than edible plants and fungi.

As a rule of thumb
Purple and Blue berries are OK
White Berries OK but not tasty
Red berries bad
I am not Ray Mears, so if you die please dont blame me.

Broccoli grows great on mountains, unless the mountain is close to the equator. If that is the case, you may be able to grow it in the winter.

the bear went over the mountain,
to see what he could see.
the other side of the mountain,
was all that he could see..

my zen master lived in a hut for 6 years...

" I ate one meal a day of leaves from wild potatoes, which I planted myself. I lived in a hut with a yard. There were walls behind, but the front looked out on a cliff. Even though I always remained in the courtyard, I never had a feeling of being closed in."

I don't really think wild potato leaves are all that good for you.

bring very large supply of coffee, as that is what I would miss the most.

ther's also the other way... if you get bored of the potatoes leaves try S. Francesco style:

cucina
