Olympic Icons

Now that the Summer Olympics have opened in Beijing,
I thought some members might be in need of icons.
I've located a few images that might be useful.

From the Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
come two different sets:

•The small icons are 18px² and are black & white GIF images.
          Here is an example

•The large icons are 65px² and are blue & yellow JPG images.
          Here is an example

•My favorites come from Google though.
They are 30px² PNG files and are either red, yellow, blue or green.
          Here is an example
They have a similar style to the Tonkawa Tiles by iconmaster.

Since I don't have the rights or permissions to redistribute these sets, I've made HTML files available for download through RapidShare
Opening each file will display the icons while they are still hosted by their respective sites.
You can then save the files to your system by whatever means you wish.

Why doesn't it allow you to make a link? Unless I'm misunderstanding, it works perfectly:

Dunno. Couldn't get it to work before. It kept routing the link back to the URL for this blog.

But it works now, so I've edited the original post.

Thanks

Hi, AE. I'm still wondering about things and asking stupid questions, lol. Saw your post about the Olympic icons and another about elka deserving a crown. Regarding hyperlinks for sets or individual icons in your posts--ones for which you DO have rights or permissions to redistribute--would you mind telling me how that's done? Curious kitteh, what can I say?

It is done with HTML.

There is a brief tutorial on the coding you can use in this blog.

BTW - if you dug far enough to find elka's crown, then you truly are a curious kitty. XD
