MAC MAC MAC! They have freakin photoshop, cooler looks, awesome acsessories (ipod etc.) and they dont have the BSOD!!! (Blue screen of Death) (Though they DO have the spinny wheel of death...) (Why do you think tons of schools use Macs instead of Windows!?)
Aye heinzman, a Mac-PC flame war - how boring. Different tools for different fools. Which one is "best" depends upon your needs. (@Flye - Why do you think tons of businesses use PCs instead of Macs!?). Windows copied Mac, Mac copied Xerox. I'll be a PC guy as long as the value (price & performance) beats a Mac, then I'll probably switch. Of course my next computer won't be Windows or Mac but some flavor of Linux. Open source baby!
Aesthetically I go the route of the Mac. Their machines are beautiful and I love the look and feel of OS X. This is not to say that PC's are ugly. At least you can customize every detail of a PC.
Price wise, you have to go PC. Macs are insanely expensive but I say its totally worth the cost.
Under the hood, OS X beats windows if you ask me. If you enjoy a linux distro you can enjoy OS X. Especially if you're a command line junkie. I personally think that OS X is more stable than wondows but I have had moments where I had OS X crash on me. You have to love the fact that Macs have less problems with spyware and other junk of that nature. I haven't used Vista but when I used XP I always had problems with that. My Mac hasn't had one problem with that yet.
In the end, I agree with iqon. It depends on you're need. I myself use a Mac and I absolutely love it.
Well, I'm no graphic nor web designer but an audio engineer. Plus I have a long history as SAP Consultant, designed/developed a few systems, too, on mainframes. Years ago I surely would have said: "who the hell needs Mac's?". Guess the only reason would have been I never worked with one untill my education at the SAE Institute. But today, I see things from another spot. With audio I absolutly prefer Mac! They simply are stable. No system crashes, no spy or other junk like tannerman says ... I have one of the new MacBook Pro, running ProTools, Logic and whatever on it - and absolutely have no problem. The only thing that desturbes me a bit is you can't customize Tiger the way you can XP. By now I have separated audio from the creative media stuff such as Photoshop, Macromedia Studio 8 and so on which I use on my PC (with XP). Mingled both types of software before on the PC and seriously got drowned in problems ... And besides, I never caught a trojan or what else on the PC because of the proper security system I use. So, it clearly depends on what you want or need; what you plan to do; which level of profession you reached and probably what you can afford. I don't wanna miss the PC nor the Mac. Both of them are great in it's own way.
ps. Hope my English is not too bad ;o)
Your English is perfect. Yea, audio and video editing on Macs is great. Both Final Cut Express & Pro HD are really user friendly, but they are powerful editing tools, ditto logic. All the iLife tools (iWeb is getting there) are great and the third party support is great. That's another gret thing about a Mac, all the third party software. :)
Regardless of which format we prefer, i'd like to think that we all have a good sense of humor! i think this is a great place to go & pick & scrap & joke with one another & none of it should be taken too seriously.
Today, while i was googling around the internet, i found a book that actually may solve the entire Mac vs PC vs Linux vs whoever (!)Here's the link: PC *o*
For me, a PC with Windows Vista is the only choice. High quality speech recognition is important to me. I'd like to have options, though. Right now, there's just no comparison.

FYI, there's already the IB PC Clan and the IB Mac Clan.

A reason to keep using CRT monitors?
Apple is being sued after saying its laptops offer colors by the million
Sounds like greedy lawyers going after a victim with deep pockets. Never a real pirate or ninja around when you really need one.

Mac. I use a PC at work and work brings nightmares. Don't know if there's a correlation between the work/PC, but I will stick with my Mac.

Mac any day. I worked on a PC all my life until getting a Mac 3 years ago and I must say that I enjoy it way more.
AVP8472 on May 25, 2007
The previews of Leopard on the Mac site look good. There are a lot of changes in there and they seem to be listening to what the users want.
